Honda revealed its vision for the future of two-wheeled mobility. The Japanese company introduced two electric motorcycle concepts: the EV Fun Concept, its first electric sports motorbike model, and the urban-focused EV Urban Concept. Both were shown at EICMA 2024 in Milan. Honda says the EV Fun Concept is positioned as a mid-sized naked sports motorcycle featuring a fixed battery system. The model promises more than 100 kilometers of range and will be compatible with CCS2 quick charging. Honda says that the bike, set for production in 2024, will deliver a new riding experience, combining traditional motorcycle dynamics with the unique characteristics of electric propulsion.

On the other hand, the EV Urban Concept shows Honda’s interpretation of future city mobility. The concept incorporates connected tech and a proprietary battery pack, with a design focused more on functionality and user interaction through the bike's UI. For the EV Urban Concept, Honda designers seem to have taken a few clues from another futuristic urban electric motorcycle ––BMW's CE 04. The two new concepts are part of Honda's broader electrification strategy. By 2030, the company aims to launch at least 30 electric motorbike models globally.
