Norman Foster will receive the Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award

The award, named in honor of the pioneering French designer, acknowledges individuals who deeply changed the cultural landscape through their creativity, innovation, and commitment to the design field.

The Créateurs Design Awards, the peer-to-peer award program that upholds excellence in the design industry, will honour Norman Foster with the 2025 Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award for his impactful contributions to architecture, modern urbanism, and sustainability. World-renowned for his iconic projects and Domus’s Guest Editor for 2024, Foster will be celebrated for his long-lasting influence on modern architecture and commitment toward environmentally conscious, human-centred design, joining prestigious past recipients like Iris Apfel, Tadao Ando, Robert A.M. Stern, and Gaetano Pesce.

Yuri Xavier, co-founder of the Créateurs Design Association & Awards has explained the reasons behind the choice, stating that Norman Foster is a visionary who “embodies the spirit of the Andrée Putman Award, which honours those who push the boundaries of design and change the way we experience the world”.
