Mindcraft 2017

18 Danish creatives, coordinated by Henrik Vibskov, present their design thoughts on the subject of time in San Simpliciano’s minor cloister. #MDW2017

Time is the dominant theme and fil rouge of the “Mindcraft” collective, which since 2008 has been presenting MDW with a cross section of Danish creativity, mixing established and emerging talents. Organised and supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, this year’s exhibition is curated and designed by Henrik Vibskov and shows works by 18 creatives – designers, fashion designers, graphic designers and artists

Time is “tangible and omnipresent” in the 16th-century Benedictine cloister explains the curator, who has filled the space with large upturned bells of different sizes, creating a partially obligatory and slightly labyrinthine route to be explored without haste. Every artist has been given a specific timeframe – from hours to a few minutes – during the day to interpret from a design angle.
