Fitting pieces

The Fitting Pieces collection is a collaboration between two Hungarian design firms – Maacraft and Kezemura – based on the shared values of human centered, loveable design.

Maacraft is a workshop, located in a home for people with autism in Miskolc, in the countryside of Hungary. The young autistic adults handcraft the design objects, mainly from sustainable sources such as wood and twigs from their therapy garden.

Kezemura produces beautiful ceramic teapots, kettles and tea sets, inspired by Japanese tea ceremonials. The relaxed, geometric patterns make the classic forms trendforward. The colors, surfaces and shapes enhance the experience of tea drinking.

The two brands have been the fans of each other for a long time, before joining forces for the 2016 Budapest Design Week.

The Fitting Pieces collection is based on shared values of human centered, loveable design. It’s a perfect collaboration of skills and materials. The autistic employees of Maacraft make the wooden handle bars, tops and cozies, while Kezemura is in charge for the ceramic pots.
