Alessandra Baldereschi: Jonah, Jumbo e George

Each object is inspired by a storytelling, real or fantastical. Jonah, the fish bowl, as the name of Old Testament Prophet that was three days and three nights in the belly of a whale. Jumbo, the fruit bowl, is the most famous African elephant captured in Ethiopia in 1869. He spent some years at London Zoo in England. Jumbo was a particularly large specimen whose name has become one of the most important synonyms for “big”. George, cake stand with dome, is a rare giant turtle; a tribute to the last one specimen of Chelonoidis abingdoni extinct in 2012.
