The hanging light designed by Ross Lovegrove for Artemide is made up of four planes in anodised aluminium that reflect light coming from below creating effects of light and shade on the ceiling.

“Space Cloud is a hanging lighting system that can be assembled in different ways, designed for high-density installations.

It can be arranged in horizontal or vertical layers as surfaces to catch the light and reflect and absorb it through the individual layers that make up a matrix with hexagonal holes.

It is very light and made from 100% anodised aluminium so that the surface colour and treatment becomes an integral part of its physical nature, like in space technology. The idea is actually inspired by photos of the Earth taken by NASA from outer space and the amazing quality of the light perceived, like the colour of the Earth itself, affected by the heat and crystalline brightness of the sun's rays.” Ross Lovegrove.
