On the occasion of the upcoming design festival Design Parade 8 in Villa Noailles, Hyères, young Austrian designer Stephanie Hornig will present daybed and lamp Camp, alongside the Set bookshelf.

The Camp project reflects the designer's experience with a life of constant nomadism, and her feeling of displacement in every place she arrived to. "The pieces are reminiscent of the outdoor world and retain their functional character but are, however, pieces of furniture frozen in their movement," Hornig states. "A sleeping bag on legs, a parasol stand with a large table top and a torch in an outlet power strip made of stone." The designer sough to express, in each object, a series of collages of material, form and function, where each element is translated directly into their autonomy and lightness.
