In 14th-century Russia, countless head-cut blocks of wood were laid side by side to pave streets. In the nineteenth century, this characteristic cut, which highlights the fibers of the material, reached Paris and London. Today, this product, which has travelled a long way over the centuries, reaching as far as New York, is reincarnated in a collection of remarkable aesthetic versatility, paying homage to the tradition of the famous urban cobblestones.

Marc and Paola Sadler, visionary designers, created the Fabric collection for the Italian company Listone Giordano, a benchmark in the wood flooring industry.

From a technical point of view, Listone Giordano has developed an innovative process to guarantee the stability of the final cut, successfully solving the problems of wood expansion and shrinkage: the result is an extremely wear-resistant surface, perfect not only for residential areas but also for commercial and public spaces.

Thus, in the oxymoronic irregular symmetry of the wood, the blocks that once lined the streets of Europe and the world come back to life, offering evocative designs, a tribute to the past that becomes poetry in the present.

"Trafic offers countless compositional possibilities thanks to its surface patterns, with flat, horizontal, vertical or crossed cubes," explain the designers.

Yet another bold experiment that confirms Listone Giordano's ability to go beyond conventional concepts and to propose, through such an ancient material, a parquet that is always new and original.
