Can an open space be at the same time a labyrinthine environment to explore? The Portuguese studio stu.dere solves this theoretical contradiction with the use of wire mesh, which divides the spaces of an office near Porto while maintaining a visual connection between the different areas. The Warehouse Morinha renovation concerns the transformation of an old industrial building into a contemporary shop, which in addition to the sales spaces has a children's area, an office, a photography workshop and a warehouse. For the project, located in Vila Meã, all the materials are used in their raw state, highlighting the technical components such as the electrical system. Cement, wood, polycarbonate and wire mesh intertwine with sophistication on the shop's two levels, maintaining the interior's industrial nature but making it warm and welcoming.
