B.B.P.R. in Gabicce

In January 1971, Domus showcases a new apartment complex in Gabicce, designed by Lodovico Belgioioso, Enrico Peressutti, and Ernesto Nathan Rogers, grouped in two long buildings around a green "piazza".

This article was originally published in Domus 494 / January 1971 At Gabicce (The Marches), a new summer and winter residential centre, on a mountain spur above the sea. The thirty dwellings are grouped in two long buildings, articulated in volumes and levels, around a green "piazza". At a lower level, a restaurant, two swimming pools, utilities, an underground car park, the caretaker's lodge.
At sea level on the beach, huts and a pier for boats. The sea can be reached directly from the level of the swimming pool, by a lift piercing the mountain, and then by a tunnel out onto de beach.

The flats have three or four rooms, plus utilities. We are showing some views of two of the flats which have been already furnished.
