Atelier Forte took one of its monumental Sleipnirs to the gardens of an abbey in the countryside of Milan. A Sleipnir is a mythological figure taken from the Norse Mythology, which represents Odin’s eight legged horse. This is the 45th sculpture of its kind built by Duilio Forte, whose creative language revolves around Swedish traditions and building techniques.

As part of a peri-urban agriculture project, Odin’s eight legged horse by Atelier Forte stands right in the backyard of the Chiaravalle Abbey, south east Milan.

Sleipnir XLV Ciconiae II 8737 is part of the “Ciconia Ciconia Project”, where Ciconia refers to storks birds. On the back of the wooden horse, in fact, there is a large nest to help this magnificent species, which had been absent from the city for over three centuries. The project was made in partnership with Terzo Paesaggio Association and is part of a local initiative called UIA OpenAgri – New Skills for New Jobs in Peri-Urban Agriculture.
