Even though their locations are different – Milan and Ostenda – the way that they represent the reality of their own time is unexpectedly similar. Curator Vincenzo Trione reveals the parallel path they took and the similarities and differences of these two protagonists of the European Nineteen-hundreds: Mario Sironi and the Flemish impressionist, Constant Permeke. The third observation of the same urban reality – after almost one century- comes from photographer Francesco Jodice, who is present with a project made especially for the exhibit. E.S.
