The new gallery for contemporary art in Milan, Corsoveneziaotto opens today with a retrospective dedicated to Christo & Jeanne-Claude.

On show are around fifty works, made up of drawings and preparatory studies of their most famous and provocative installations, from Surrounded Islands, Project for Biscayne Bay in 1983 (the Christos wrapped a shocking pink lightweight sail, floating on the water around the islands in the Bay of Biscayne, Miami) to the latest project currently in preparation, The Gates, Project for Central Park, New York City (February 2005).
