The Mexican architectural firm Rozana Montiel was called upon to design a prototype incinerator for the combustion of solid waste in airports and national ports in Mexico. The prototype, a result of extensive research into shape and materials, is built around the circular incinerator machine. Curved walls cut out of portholes define the central plan of the module. Each object accompanying the machine is designed in detail and contributes to build a comfortable and pleasant working space and an innovative, functional, habitable and safe prototype. From a structural point of view, a new type of prefabricated corrugated concrete is tested, which gives the prototype a reversible structure and an iconic look.  With a construction time of four weeks, the prototype incinerator proved flexible enough to be adapted and improved according to site-specific conditions.
