Soho House opens in São Paulo its first location in South America

Located in the Bela Vista area, the new Soho House is housed in the Cidade Matarazzo complex, an early 20th-century Italian-style building surrounded by tropical gardens.

Soho House, the renowned private club chain with 42 houses across the world, has opened its first South American House, in São Paulo, within the Cidade Matarazzo complex of the Bela Vista neighbourhood, which has been at the centre of an extensive urban redevelopment project for years. A block away from the Avenida Paulista and the São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand Art Museum, Soho House São Paulo is a tribute to the city's rich Portuguese heritage and Brazilian modernism, featuring locally sourced furniture and decor crafted by local artisans.

The House São Paulo revolves around a courtyard with large arched windows, comprising 32 rooms with recycled wooden floors and hand-painted tiles, a gym, a swimming pool with a rooftop bar, a restaurant and various spaces accessible to club’s members. It also showcases an art collection that explores different themes and artistic languages, from recycled materials to narrative photography, including more than 60 emerging or internationally renowned artists born, resident or trained in Brazil.
