Brescia is preparing for urban and social regeneration by constructing two sports facilities, partially funded through PNRR funds, managed by Brescia Infrastrutture and built by a temporary consortium composed of Progetto DVA (a consortium formed by DVA - DVision Architecture of the DVArea group and Progetto CMR), DVMEP, architect Giuseppe De Martino, and Geolambda Engineering.
A new indoor facility for artistic gymnastics, a gym, and accommodation for 42 athletes, costing 9.5 million euros, will be ready by 2026. Covering more than 4,000 square meters, it will support the city’s significant achievements in national and international women’s artistic gymnastics. Alongside this project, the second-largest indoor facility in Italy after the one in Ancona will be constructed. Spanning 7,400 square meters in the San Polino district, next to the current “Gabre Gabric” outdoor center and the “Azeglio Vicini” sports center, the structure will host track and field, climbing, and martial arts, with bleachers capable of accommodating over 1,100 spectators.
