Cuore, Triennale Milano’s study center for archives and research, has opened

Triennale Milano Cuore - Center for Studies, Archives, Research has been inaugurated: a new space dedicated to research, memory, and innovation. The 400-square-meter space, located on the ground floor of the Palazzo dell'Arte, has been conceived as a flexible and ever-evolving place where research and design work underlying all Triennale activities can emerge freely.

The architectural and set-up project was developed by AR.CH.IT Luca Cipelletti and is part of a broader effort to enhance and restore the original design of the Palazzo dell'Arte, created by Giovanni Muzio in 1933. The idea was to pay attention to the dialogue between architecture and set design, content and container, considering both space and time, thus creating an environment where modular elements are destined to renew over the years.

After more than thirty years, the Triennale Study Center is therefore returning to life. Additionally, the archives, library, and collections of Triennale have been prepared and made easily accessible to visitors, scholars, and the scientific community: a unique multidisciplinary heritage in the field, ranging from design to art, architecture to theater, graphic design to photography, and audiovisual materials, comprising over 300,000 works, including objects, drawings, projects, photographs, correspondence, and books, exhibited for the first time in their complexity on rotation and open for consultation. Finally, Cuore will also be a platform dedicated to valorization and dissemination, hosting various funds and archives throughout the year, and developing thematic paths of in-depth study to create a network among universities, superintendencies, public and private foundations, and companies.

Cuore will be accessible free of charge during Triennale's opening hours, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11 am to 8 pm.
