Many events are scheduled for 2024, despite this summer all eyes will be on Paris for the Summer Olympic Games, coming back to Europe, a continent facing growing challenges on the geopolitical chessboard. Moreover, the projects that the French capital has set into motion to get a makeover for the most awaited international event are many.
However, the usual recurrences of annual or regular events are also noteworthy: at the Venice Biennale, art is back in the spotlight, especially in this singular year in which the city started the experiment of the entry fee. While another renowned Biennale, Manifesta, chooses Barcelona for this years’ edition, with the reactivation of the Tres Xemeneies.
More niche but always dear to Domus are the architecture events, among which it is now also worth mentioning the annual Serpentine Pavilion project in London, which will open as usual in June. This year, the building was designed by Minsuk Cho and Mass Studio. Then, design will invade Milan, like it always does, during the week of the Salone and Fuorisalone.
Within our list, there are these events and much more, including events that don’t fit usual categories, where project blends in with technology and architecture with music, in a contemporary scenario that is increasingly more digital, fluid, and tending toward hybridization.
