In the Wasatch Mountains in Utah, ODA is developing the architectural, interior and landscape project for Deer Valley East Village, an ambitious expansion of the Deer Valley Resort that will double the world-famous ski station and make it one of the largest in the country. In addition to specific services for skiers, the complex will house luxury residences and hotels (of the Four Seasons brand), with over 1,700 residences and 800 hotel rooms, commercial and recreational spaces, for a full immersion into sport and the ‘’bella vita‘’ at high altitude.

The project is characterised by a contemporary reinterpretation of the vernacular from which the studio draws inspiration for its typological and material elements: volumes clad in wood and resting on solid stone bases, recalling mountain villages, reduce the volumetric impact of the intervention thanks to the dynamic and multifaceted geometries, interrupted by large windows that open up the view towards the woods.
In the interiors, the materials and finishes reflect the textures and colours of the mountains and the forest combined with international influences: from the mountain refuge atmospheres that warm the hotel rooms, thanks to the widespread use of solid wood and stone, antique brass and fireplaces, to the more essential atmospheres of the residences, to the "ethnic" (Peruvian and Japanese) charm of the restaurants.
