Have you ever craved a Bang&Olufsen speaker with a bright red, automotive-inspired, aluminum red finish? Well, in case you did, it’s your lucky day. The Danish luxury audio brand just announced a partnership with Italian supercar automaker Ferrari, resulting in a collection that reimagines two speakers and two headphones with car-like finishes and the prancing horse logo plastered all over.
“Our classic speakers are meant to naturally blend in with people’s homes while also standing out for their beautiful design,” said Christoffer Poulsen, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Bang & Olufsen, explaining the strategy behind the unusual collaboration. “This collection is different. They’re statement pieces. Much like supercars, they make themselves seen and heard everywhere they go”.
In the Ferrari Collection, the Besound 2 speaker has been anodized in Ferrari Red and features the carmaker’s logo under the grill. The Beosound Explore portable speaker also features a red finish, plus an added carabiner in the back and a laser-etched prancing horse. The collection also includes B&O’s H95 flagship headphones, now available in a dark Ferrari shade with a prancing horse logo etched on each earcup. Last but not least, B&O redesigned its Beoplay Ex in-ear headphones and turned them into a flaming-red testament to the Ferrari brand, with a dark and red finish and the horse emblem featuring prominently on each earbud.
