Built in the 16th century in the Pays de Caux valley, in Normandy, France, the Château de Mirville has recently been renovated with the support of the International Olympic Committee and has become part of Airbnb’s Heritage and Local Tourism programme. During the stay guests can play tennis with champion Caroline Garcia on the field where probably one of the very first tennis matches on the lawn was played, visit the building together with de Coubertin’s great-grandson, take a boat ride on the lake where the baron developed his passion for rowing and immerse himself in the history of the Olympics, discovering relics such as the Olympic Manifesto of 1892, in which appear the famous rings designed for the first time by Coubertin and an entrance ticket for the first 1900 Games.
