Consisting of two buildings, Prospect Place hosts 308 unique apartments, double-height commercial units on street level and a garden for residents, designed by LDA Designed. Electric Boulevard will be the main pedestrian path in the area and this new commercial street will offer a mix of office spaces, shops, bars and restaurants, also leading to the new Tube station “Battersea Power Station Zone 1”, the first major extension of the London Underground of this new century.
Gehry Partners proposed two color palettes for the interiors. The London palette reflects the historical elements of the site, with metallic finishes and textures that recreate an industrial atmosphere; while the LA palette features light wood finishes and a soft color scheme.
The completion of Prospect Place marks significant progress in the area, with the Power Station opening to the public in September.
