To develop this tiny apartment, Ikea’s designers uses different space-saving tricks. The first – and most important – is to organize the space vertically, splitting the home environment into two levels. On the first there is the entrance, the kitchenette and the bathroom, then a stepladder takes up to the second, the sleeping mezzanine.
The chosen furniture includes multifunctional Ikea pieces, like the Ivar storage system, that can be completely customized; a one seater sofa, which turns into a bed, giving the chance to welcome an host; and furniture on wheels allowing to move easily everything around depending on what the user is doing.
