Despite its Italian-sounding name, Veloretti is a bike manufacturer based in Amsterdam that has developed a cult following among biking enthusiasts with a knack for retro designs. Its two new electric models, Ace and Ivy, have just entered mass production, and customers will start to receive them at the end of July 2021. The two e-bikes follow the same design trend as the brand's regular models, merging a hipster-vintage look with several high tech features.
Veloretti equipped its two bikes with a mid-engine that's both silent and powerful, automatic shifting, a maintenance-free Carbon belt, hydraulic brakes, front and rear lights embedded into the frame, and a 510Wh battery, enabling a range of 60 to 120km on a single charge. Both Ivy (the smaller version) and Ace can connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth. They will be compatible with Apple's FindMy feature, just like the bikes from Veloretti's competitor VanMoof. The two models will initially be available only in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany to guarantee the final product's best quality control. According to Veloretti's founder, Ferry Zonder, the demand for the new electric models has been overwhelming, despite the two bikes' 2,399€ price tag.
