At its fifth edition, the AAA architetticercasi competition has received 47 project proposals from 170 young architects under 33, who have committed themselves to imagine and redesign the next former railway station of Rogoredo, in Milan. Together with FS Sistemi Urbani, the initiative was promoted by Confcooperative Habitat and Fondosviluppo spa with the patronage of the Municipality and Ordine degli architetti.
The projects presented reveal a renewal of the area in the southern periphery of the capital of Lombardy, in residential terms, with social housing and shared services, put to system by green areas, sports fields, and urban gardens.
First place went to the project Living the border, by Gregorio Pecorelli, Tobia Davanzo and Chiara Dorbolò. The jury, led by Giancarlo Consonni, also awarded five other groups: One among many, by Stefano Maria Ivaldi and Manuel Clasadonte, Domestic urban, by Matteo Bassi, Michele Antinori, Pietro Nobili Vitelleschi, Joseph Rigo, Rogoredo open work, by Andrea Danelli, Stefano Casula, Massimo Falconi, Elisa Perego, Ecol-Easy conscious living by Caterina Spadoni, and Urban farmhouse, by Antonio La Marca and Andrea Govi.
Coonfcooperative will also commit itself to recognize the members of the winning and mentioned groups in a list of deserving designers, from its associates throughout the national territory in assignments related to social and cooperative residence.
