The Salone del Mobile has just announced the official postponement of the design event from 5 to 10 September. The announcement of the date comes after long and articulated reflections that have involved the top management of Salone del Mobile and Fiera Milano in the delicate task of evaluating the best possible solutions to confirm the most important design week in the world and, at the same time, ensure safety in light of the continuing health crisis.
“Being able to realize the Salone next year is an absolute priority for all of us who live by design” says the President of the Salone del Mobile, Claudio Luti. “Postponing the date of the Salone del Mobile is not a simple scheduling exercise, but must take into account the many days needed to set up and dismantle the various pavilions and this, in turn, must coincide with the needs of many other events that use the spaces of Fiera Milano. Today, after having reached the best possible solution thanks to the collaboration of Fiera Milano, we can confirm the new date”.
The next fair will also coincide with the 60th anniversary of the event, and for the first time it will bring together all the product categories, as a special moment of the sector.
“This will be a great system operation not only for the relaunch of the trade fair but for Milan and the whole of Italy,” says Enrico Pazzali, president of Fondazione Fiera, during the press conference. “One of the things we are experimenting with with SEA and the Politecnico di Milano is an electronic passport, just in case we need it. This time, more than others, we have to present ourselves as a unicum to make our country the protagonist again”.
