Glacier Formation

#89 AGC Asahi Glass presents a space-design installation by office Artenvarch centred on digital signage inspired by glacier formation. #salone2015

Space-design office Artenvarch worked on this project to create a glass/information installation that resembles a glacier formation.

Visual designer Yutaka Endo has applied sounds and lights to narrate a world in fast and constant movement, packed with messages that are reflected on the people and projected into the space by plays of light and transparency.

The space is formed of 100 panes of glass to allow experimentation with the latest technological innovations from the Japanese company. Glascene™ and infoverreare based on the concept of transforming large glass walls and displays into communication media and creating a new relationship between information and glass, in a departure from conventional digital-signage concepts. Glascene™ is specially treated glass that allows images to be projected or retro-projected onto a transparent surface with excellent quality and clarity levels; infoverre™ was born by combining a slim liquid-crystal display with a glass surface to guarantee high definition, even in large formats.
