Italian furniture manufacturer De Castelli will unveil the new Mastro table by design studio Gumdesign at this year's Salone del Mobile.

The table is designed for use in the home and office, but is inspired by the workshop.

Mastro is made with an acid-etched iron sheet which is folded to hold the two firwood trestles, which slide into place before being secured with the visable slot.

The design allows the trestles to be removed, spun 90 degrees and conveniently stored horizontally in the table top, minimising the piece's footprint when not in use.
