The Meu project by llabb translates the layered identity of the area into architectural form, suspended between the harbor’s historic memory and new creative influences.
The project was conceived as a multi-voice dialogue in which the designers and the local company curating furniture and design collaborated with the client to create a space that reflects not only functional needs but also a specific visual narrative.
The reorganization of interior spaces overturned the original layout: the sleeping area was moved to the northern side, freeing the southern part for a spacious living flooded with natural light, enhanced by a newly added window facing west. From the entrance, the parquet flooring is laid to guide the eye toward the kitchen.
This kitchen, notably devoid of overhead cabinets, consists of two columns, base units, and open shelves that emphasize the raw geometry of the exposed reinforced concrete beams.

While the beams explicitly reference the industrial character of the neighborhood, evoking the port cranes and the warehouses along the Malapaga Walls, the furnishings deliver a contemporary and dynamic aesthetic, characterized by bold color combinations and iconic accessories, complemented by local artworks.
We believe that in this project, architectural elements and a passion for quality design come together in perfect harmony.
Federico Robbiano, llabb
In the study and bedroom, the mix of vintage and contemporary furniture creates an informal atmosphere, with light design solutions, such as a wardrobe concealed behind a white curtain. The bathroom transforms the standard pattern of 10x10 cm white tiles into a graphic feature, thanks to blue grout that forms a visual grid, overlaid with orange accents and a softly shaped mirror.
With Meu, llabb underscores the importance of interpreting places with sensitivity and creativity, choosing to work with layers of memory and the cultural vibrations of the context. The result is an interior that does not aim for rigid formalism but seeks the spontaneity of a constantly evolving balance.
