Before the intervention of the young architectural firm a25architetti, flat SF was characterised by a clear division between the living area facing south and the sleeping area facing north. The new project subverts this rigid division by working on the "passage" between the two areas of the house by inserting a central furnishing device. Both dimensionally efficient and with a strong material identity in contrast with the light tones of the floor and walls, this oak wood element becomes a real functional diaphragm around which the inhabitant gravitates. It converts respectevely into a closed wardrobe towards the living room, an open bookcase towards the entrance and a large passage towards the sleeping area in correspondence with the dining room.
A multipurpose piece of furniture is all it takes to rethink 100 sqm
A new central furnishing device becomes a key element in the distribution of space in the flat renovated by a25architetti in the hills of Lecco.
