The reasearch of a form is a daily exercise where you can experiment, invent and find stylistic solutions that become a reference point for the genesis of a new object. This set of actions encompasses Abel Cárcamo’s design method where the exploration of form generates a metamorphosis capable to celebrate the attainment of freedom within a domestic space.
That of the Chilean designer is an imaginary universe that redesigns chairs, tables, stools and lamps through organic forms that exploit the materiality of the plaster enhancing it and giving it a noble aftertaste, giving us the freedom to be able to understand the artifact as a sculpture or an object of daily use, without however forgetting the value of artisan authenticity in an increasingly homologated and standardized world.
