The quality of materials influences the identity of contemporary spaces. In 2015, two important companies operating in the sector: Ceramiche Speranza, an Italian brand founded in 1961, and the Aghara family, the owners of Simpolo, founded in 1977 and now one of the Indian leaders in the production of ceramics and bathroom fittings, formed a joint venture that resulted in the creation of Nexion, founded to provide planners and clients with support in choosing the right materials for their projects. Nexion’s Indian and Italian roots allow the company to offer solutions that bring together Italian elegance and technology with Indian artisan skill.

One expression of the advanced research and innovation that characterises Nexion is the Lithic collection. Eight natural stones form an elegant colour palette, which ranges from the purest whites to the most intense blacks, and includes warm beiges and sophisticated greys. Each slab of sintered ceramic has been designed to fit perfectly with the others, forming even, balanced surfaces and guaranteeing durability and longevity. Beyond the visual effects, it is the excellent technical performance that renders these surfaces functional, raising them to more than simple covering solutions.  

New proposals include Pietra Piasentina, which is quarried in Friuli and offers a speckled grey enhanced with veins of white, pink or grey. It stands out for its uneven pattern and for its elegant and modern effect. Alpi Argento, extracted from the mountains of Northern Italy, is characterised by a soft and delicate background in a warm shade of white that highlights fossils and pebbles, offering a design that expresses a combination of calm elegance.

Kilkenny black, which originates from Northern Europe, is characterised by an intense black background enhanced with fossils of varying size. The visual effect it creates is profound and rich, transforming any surface into a unique work.

Lastly, the Absolute Matte finish lends the Lithic collection a pleasant soft tactile sensation, offering anti-slip and anti-reflection properties that enhance function and comfort.
