Brianza Plastica's Isotec thermal insulation system played a key role in the restoration of Palazzo Tadini, a masterpiece of Lombard neoclassical architecture and a landmark of the art world.
Inaugurated in 1928, the palace that houses the Tadini Academy Gallery and Museum of the Nineteenth Century in Lovere, in the province of Bergamo, was built by Count Luigi Tadini to display his art collections and promote schools of music and drawing. At the time of its inauguration, the building, an important example of neoclassical architecture, was the first 19th century museum in Lombardy after the Pinacoteca di Brera. In 2023, thanks to a grant from Fondazione Cariplo and the 110% Superbonus, the restoration of the roof and the northwest facade was completed, following the work already begun in 2018 on the main facade, in order to preserve and enhance the museum's historical and artistic heritage.
The aim of the restoration project was to ensure the safety of the building and the artistic heritage, to restore the building to its original appearance and to improve the usability of the spaces for a future expansion of the museum. The intervention ensured greater structural safety, waterproofing and protection from weathering, while respecting the original aesthetics and prioritizing the recovery of materials for environmental sustainability. The re-roofing and insulation also allowed for the renovation of the attic, creating new exhibition spaces and expanding the museum's cultural offerings.

The Isotec system by Brianza Plastica
Brianza Plastica played a central role in the restoration work: to re-roof Palazzo Tadini, the entire roofing system was removed and the tiles were salvaged for reuse. The new roof package included the installation of a vapour barrier and ventilated Isotec thermal insulation panels from Brianza Plastica. These panels, with a polyurethane foam core covered with waterproof aluminum foil, allow the tiles to be laid directly on the metal stiffeners.
The Isotec system has been developed in accordance with the highest quality standards and the constant search for technological innovation, values that have driven Brianza Plastica since 1962.

The Isotec thermal insulation system is particularly suitable for the renovation and upgrading of existing roofs: easy to apply, it speeds up installation by creating a load-bearing, insulating, waterproof and ventilated covering. It can be applied on different substrates, such as continuous wooden or concrete structures, and discontinuous on walls or steel or wood, and can be covered with all types of roofing elements, either continuous, such as modern metal sheets and strips, or small brick elements, such as traditional roof tiles or bricks.
The system has been developed in accordance with the highest quality standards and the constant search for technological innovation, values that have driven Brianza Plastica since 1962 and that have enabled it to obtain the most prestigious certifications in recognition of the quality and reliability of its products. With five production plants and logistics facilities, Brianza Plastica has established itself as a major player in the construction market and a world leader in the field of fiberglass laminates. The company's products are used in a wide range of sectors, from construction (roofing and thermal insulation) to agriculture (greenhouses and livestock shelters) to high quality laminates for recreational vehicles (RVs, caravans), temperature-controlled vehicles, trucks and passenger transport.

The Case History becomes an exceptional venue for a training meeting
Brianza Plastica has organized a training event for designers on May 8th in Lovere (BG) on the topic "Insulation systems for ventilated roofs and walls: Energy efficiency, design, and living comfort." During the event, industry experts will address topics related to energy efficiency in architecture and ventilated insulation solutions for roofs and facades, exploring the characteristics, installation methods, and performance of the systems. Real-world case studies will also be presented, including the efficiency upgrade of the roof of the Accademia Tadini, where the conference will take place. The event will provide an opportunity for professionals to exchange ideas and gain insights into the latest innovations in sustainable architecture and design.
