A hundred years after his birth, the Bauhaus Design Museum pays homage to Max Bill (1908-1994), the Swiss architect, artist, industrial and graphic designer.

A major retrospective will be on show until August 25, organised by the Gewerbemuseum in Winterthur, Bill’s native city. Curated by Claude Lichtenstein, with the help of Bill’s son Jakob, this illustration of 60 years of design by the founder of the school in Ulm includes some real design icons, such as the kitchen clock with timer designed in 1953 for the German company Junghans.
