Magazzini Raccordati - Via Sammartini

In only two years, the Magazzini Raccordati (former warehouse) of the Stazione Centrale has become one of the must-see venues of the Fuorisalone. The credit goes to Drop City, Center for Architecture and Design, the project curated by Andrea Caputo that brings into the tunnels of via Sammartini a rich program of exhibitions, conferences, events, and temporary bookshops. For the 2023 edition, Drop City Convention 23, Anneke Abhelakh organized and will moderate a series of conferences at Tunnel 60. At Tunnel 42, Francesca Picchi curated the exhibition Aspen, the Italian Manifesto, set up by Studio Ossidiana, while Tunnel 52 and Tunnel 54 will host the exhibition Arrigo Arrighetti. Un architetto pubblico (Arrigo Arrighetti. A Public Atchitect), curated by Salvatore Porcaro and set-up by HPO. The bookshops have been allocated to Quodlibet, Nero, and Humboldt. A dozen other installations complete the event. Drop City is an event for true architecture enthusiasts, even before being design fans, because it offers the opportunity to explore the monumental and mysterious indoor spaces of the former warehouse of the station, giving a sneak peek of its future permanent redevelopment.
