This year also marks the return of other events from the world of architecture, such as the 18th Architecture Biennale, curated this year by Lesley Lokko. “In fact, after two of the most difficult and divisive years,” says the architect and researcher, “architects have a unique opportunity to show the world what we do best: to propose ambitious and creative ideas that help us imagine a more equitable and optimistic common future.”

Exhibited at the Parc des expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte, the Maison&Objet fair is the largest event of Paris Design Week and features more than 2,000 exhibitors. Titled "Take Care!" this year, the event returns with a program of exhibitions, installations and awards to celebrate established and emerging designers. The fair also hosts 38 conferences addressing topics such as hospitality, innovation and the latest design trends. This year the fair has named Raphael Navot Maison & Objet's Designer of the Year: the French designer is creating an installation for the occasion entitled "Apothem Lounge. The immersive installation, the designer explains, "will portray a visual emotion," represented by an open structure whose design is based on light and texture.

Stockholm Design Week returns in February for its 21st edition, after being held in September in 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Swedish capital becomes an open theater for the latest from Scandinavian companies with Stockholm Design Week, which comes alive with showroom openings and multidisciplinary exhibitions.

The HAKA industrial building will be the setting for numerous established names and young talents from the world of design. During these days, the building will serve as a base for visitors to discover the diverse Vierhavensgebied. In this Rotterdam neighborhood, numerous studios open their doors and various exhibitions can be visited, as well as the many studios of designers such as Sabine Marcelis, Richard Hutten, Simone Post, and Daan Roosegaarde.

The Salone del Mobile.Milano reaches its 61st edition and is scheduled to take place in Milan Rho Fiera from April 18 to 23, 2023. Of note, the return of the biennial Euroluce dedicated to the world of lighting. This one sees a revolutionized exhibition layout, which reworking the concept of proximity of many historical centers in our country, creates a ring-shaped path, with a geometrically polygonal, fluid and free shape, imagined by the Lombardini22 studio, to optimize the fruition of the great exhibition. Fundamental also is the contribution of Formafantasma that, within the new layout, will transform Euroluce into an ideal city, designing public spaces and special cameos, anticipating the possible future evolution of the fair format tout court.

Logroño, the Spanish capital of the autonomous community of La Rioja, will host the ninth edition of Concéntrico - International Festival of Architecture and Design, an event dedicated to the urban environment and urban living. Through installations, meetings, activities and exhibitions, the event invites citizens and visitors to explore the city through new lenses, stimulating dialogues about public space and places of coexistence.

NYCxDesign is a seven-day festival held in New York City that will celebrate its 11th anniversary in 2023. The festival hosts hundreds of events in the city's five boroughs, showcasing the work of more than 1,000 designers. Events range from architecture to fashion, crafts to graphic design, product design to interior design, hospitality to film and sustainability.

Along with Art Basel's contemporary art exhibition, the Design Miami Basel showcase also lands in Europe to take stock, June 15-18, of signature design. Last year's show was divided into three spaces: Gallery, which includes classic and contemporary design; Curio, showcasing cutting-edge design; and Podium, featuring products selected by the event's curator.

With Venice Glass Week, from September 9 to 17, the city of masks once again inaugurates the international festival dedicated to the art of glass: a special opportunity to get up close and personal with the secrets of the craft.

For the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings it is an opportunity to celebrate 40 years of activity. It is an exhibition with an international scope that confirms, this year more than ever, the perfect partnership between exhibition center and city. The Cersaie Bologna pair, in fact, tightens the historic center to the belt of the nearby urban periphery, building a bridge of continuous cross-references between what happens inside and outside the fair.
