An open structural grid is articulated so as not to make a distinction between domestic and garden spaces. Casa Sierra Fría is located in Lomas de Chapultepec, an exclusive residential area of Mexico City, where you will find some of the most luxurious dwellings in the city. Architects PPAA + Alfonso de la Concha Rojas and Adriana Rubio Vargas have designed a simple and permeable residence, in which each quadrant relates to the private greenery surrounding it. The service spaces and the central staircase are compacted into a single block leaving the main rooms free to generate hybrid and flexible environments. A large central skylight illuminates the interior of the house and gives access to the large terrace. The concrete of the structure, the wood of the stairs, furniture and walls, the windows framed by thin aluminum frames: the material is freely intertwined to create elegant and comfortable environments.
