A simple and economical construction system is the basis of Aráoz 967, a residential building designed by BAAG in Buenos Aires. The project features a fully exposed reinforced concrete structure, brick, metal and glass prefabricated elements to compose the facade and wooden cores for the facilities (bathroom and kitchen).

The apartment building is located in Villa Crespo, a low-density neighbourhood with many low rise buildings and single family residences. The aim of the project is to densify the area by interpreting the habits and lifestyle of the city. It is in continuity with the existing front and on the ground floor presents a small commercial space and a covered entrance threshold.
Araoz 967 is made up of two blocks separated by a central patio where the vertical distribution is located, facilitating the cross-ventilation of the apartments. Each unit is provided with a private loggia, which, together with the brick modules and narrow windows, draws the external facades with an alternating play of full and empty spaces and materials. The top floor apartments also have a large terrace, which can be accessed by private stairs.
