The curtain raises on the seventh edition of the Brescia Photo Festival with an exhibition dedicated to a grand master of Italian photography. Carlo Orsi (1941-2021).
“PercORSI. The forms of the portrait in the photographs of Carlo Orsi” is the title of the exhibition that, from 18 May to 21 July, will be hosted at Mo.Ca. - Centre for New Cultures, in Brescia
Curated by Margherita Magnino and Silvana Beretta, The exhibition looks back over Orsi’s prolific career through 80 iconic pictures that range from fashion to reportage, from portraits to research and from glamour to experimentation. A fascinating exploration of his unmistakable style, which captured the essence of the subjects immortalised with a unique sensitivity.
Famous faces from the world of art, cinema, sport, music, fashion and culture came to life before Orsi’s lens, which presented the evolution of society through their gazes and their poses. A heartfelt tribute to a master who managed to capture the essence of an era, leaving us with a priceless artistic legacy.
