Brera|z is a magazine that takes Palazzo Brera as its starting point, extending throughout Milan and the Lombardy region. Promoted and funded by EQUITA, an Italian investment bank, and created and designed by Editoriale Domus, it is a new magazine that aims to tell stories and present current affairs that render Brera an ongoing living and lively cultural laboratory, closely tied to the city and at the same time open to communicate with other important European laboratories. Each issue offers exclusive interviews with the leading figures in contemporary art, finance and culture. Brera|z is a completely bilingual magazine (Italian and English) created to be a companion to all lovers of art and culture, visitors to museums and libraries and both Italian and foreign enthusiasts of all that is beautiful.
The Brera|z magazine is a small yet important event that fills a gap around one of Europe’s most valuable cultural institutions
Walter Mariotti
editorial director of Domus and Brera|z.
Brera|z is a source of information, narration and criticism that every six months explores contemporary art galleries, architecture and exhibitions on the Milanese and Lombardy scene , and is, above all, a small yet great event. Its pages offer a presentation of one of the most important cultural entities in Europe, and the name itself is a combination of many things; an art gallery, an academy, an observatory, a library a botanical garden and an institute.
It offers a new instrument through which to view Milan and Lombardy.
The issue is on sale from newsagents and specialised bookshops.
