Switch Motorcycles, a new startup founded by Matthew Waddick and former Yamaha Japan designer Michel Riis, has unveiled the eScrambler, a beautiful mid-size electric motorbike. The eScrambler mixes unusual design elements such as the central battery and drivetrain aluminum block with a classic approach inspired by the design of old school scrambler-style bikes.
The eScrambler is not just an exercise in wowing e-bike aficionados with a great design, but also a powerful bike that will be able to reach a top speed of 150km/h, with a 0-100 of 3,2 seconds, and a range of around 93 miles. To top it all off, the eScrambler will come with a minimal central display, integrated wi-fi for performance tracking and updates and a couple of USB ports to charge your smartphones on the go. The bike is currently undergoing street homologation, a process that will probably take a long time. Switch Motorcycles hasn’t share any details about the price yet, but the company aims at an early 2022 release date.
