Renault Classic, the marketing department of the French manufacturer dealing with the preservation of historical Renault vehicles, has created a one of a kind electric version of its famous Renault 4 Plein Air. From the outside it looks like the old cabrio version of the car from 1968 (minus a re-adaptation of the backseat and headlights), a rare convertible elaboration of the original 4. Inside, it’s a fully electric car, powered by the same engine of the Renault Tweezy, the company’s eco-friendly two-seater. The Renault 4 e-Plein Air, created in collaboration with Renault Design and Melun Retro Passion, wowed the attendants of the 10th edition of the Renault 4L International Festival. Unfortunately, it won’t ever be a commercial vehicle: it was intended simply as  a fun retrofit experiment to celebrate the long history of the legendary Renault 4 model.
