The Father’s Nursing Assistant is “an infant breastfeeding and sleep inducement device for fathers” created as a concept by the Japanese company Dentsu.
The wearable devices is made to resemble a woman’s breasts, with soft and safe heating plastic materials the baby can touch while eating. On one side there’s a tank for the milk, with the breastfeeding system on the other. The device is also connected to an app that can track the infant’s breastfeeding and sleeping habits. The underlying idea spurs from the fact that even the most helpful fathers can’t really help share the burden of breastfeeding, leaving it all to the mothers, especially during the night. With the Father’s Nursing Assistant, now they can, although with some caveats. Like the fact, for example, that to use the device you’ll have to switch to baby formula or painfully extract the milk from the real breast of the lactating woman.
This device brings gender equality to a whole new level
