After a four years break, last night Microsoft aired a commercial during the Super Bowl game. The company’s ad was all about the Xbox Adaptive Controller, a special gamepad for its gaming console designed to cater the need of kids and gamers with disabilities.
The ad tells the stories of a number of young gamers with handicaps and how the controller was able to level the playing field for them, thanks to its two large programmable pads and 19 different output jacks that can be used to connect external gear and accessories.
With this commercial, which was more about the emotional message than selling the product itself,  Microsoft returned to its “empowering technology” series of ads, first introduced back at Super Bowl 2014.
