World-renowned synth maker Moog unveiled a new synthesizer at this year’s NAMM show. It’s called Sirin and it’s based on the company’s famous Taurus, a pedal-operated synth first unveiled in 1975. As if the Sirin’s vintage look wasn’t retro enough, Moog’s booth at the NAMM was a reference to its 1971 “moog-nifisent” Island of Electronicus, a series of Moog concert held in Tierra Verde, CA, to promote the firm’s revolutionary electronic instruments.
The Sirin is available in a limited batch of 2500 pieces, each with a 599$ price tag.
