The building houses an area of about 150,700 square feet on 13 floors, with about 15,000 square feet of panoramic terraces, multifunctional spaces, and shops. Piuarch aimed to enhance the verticality of the volume through the recovery of some architectural elements of the original structure, which has been maintained, lightened, and expanded thanks to the integration of a second mesh of pillars. This “double skin” has given the building a contemporary aesthetic, with large windows set between metal elements and vertical lines that streamline the structure giving it dynamism.
Ivory has been developed to meet the highest energy standards and uses locally sourced materials and products, eco-friendly and obtained from circular economy strategies. Among the various innovative technologies that the building integrates, there is an air conditioning system that takes advantage of the technology of cold beams and uses a cooling system that works thanks to the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor spaces, without the need for electricity, the so-called “Free Cooling”.
The project will involve an investment of more than €50 million and should be completed around mid-2025.
