The Ombelle development should raise in Flagler Village, an area in the northeast of the city, once mostly industrial, but now home to art galleries and residential blocks.
The building will be composed by a wide base with two 43-storey funnel-shaped towers and will host 1100 residential units. The base, at street level, will be surrounded by columns, and at key points will be recessed from the street, creating covered plazas. The ground floor will house more than 10,000 square feet of commercial space and on its top it will have a terrace for the inhabitants.
If completed, with its total 48 storeys, it will be the tallest structure in Fort Lauderdale.
