The ten chapels designed by important designers and architectural firms from all over the world, on the occasion of the XVI International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale, are now also the setting for an evocative itinerary guided by the music of the composer Antonio Fresa.
“Vatican Chapel - A soundtrack experience”, besides becoming the new audio guide background, will also be published on all digital streaming and download platforms on June 26th, for the occasion of the reopening to the public of this evocative place, thanks to the collaboration of Ilaria D’Uva, Florentine entrepreneur who, with her company, manages the guided tours of the Giorgio Cini Foundation.

Fresa has worked on eleven compositions, one dedicated to each chapel, plus a theme reserved for the Asplund Pavilion. “The piece dedicated to the Asplund Pavilion works on harmonic reminiscences”, says the composer, “echoes of timbre that bring back the distance between the chapel and the places of civilization”.
Thus, compositions mainly made with piano and strings follow one another in the various buildings of Fujimori, Forest, Flores & Prats and Radic, among others, up to the pavilion of Souto de Moura where Fresa, inspired “by the oldest and most classical aspect of manufacture”, involved the historical beat maker of group 99 posse, Marco Messina, to work on an “electronic timbre, using a sample orchestra and embroidering a series of piano plots and synthesizers”.
