Italian Summer is the exhibition of works by Jacopo Di Cera held at Stamberga in Milan. The work of the Milanese photographer, who is also the author of Fino alla fine del mare, talks about some Italian seaside locations through photographs taken from above with the use of drones, that becomes a research on the society and the landscape of Italy.
From the neat arrangement of beach umbrellas and deckchairs to the chaotic arrangement of free beaches, the photographs represent the condition of Italian society, in which the identity of the individual is in crisis and precariousness prevails. A precariousness visible in urban planning too: in some cases the presence of roads or railways in the landscape deliberately contrasts with the tranquillity of the beach.
