Choosing to recreate Paris’ galvanized roofs with the typical skylights and chimneys tells us of a city that is more and more represented as caricature of itself. We know that architecture is a very attractive ground for haute couture shows, but here we are far distant from what other fashion houses do – just think of Vuitton’s epic défilé in Oscar Niemeyer’s Nitéroi Contemporary Art Museum in Rio de Janeiro or OMA’s ongoing efforts for Prada’s shows in Milan.
